James Baker

James Baker has a diverse work experience in finance and management roles. James is currently the Head of Finance at the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (UKCEH), a position they have held since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the EMEA Planning Manager at Newell Brands from March 2019 to April 2021. From May 2017 to December 2018, they served as the Manager of Finance at ALD Automotive. Before that, they worked as a Management Accountant at Mitie in early 2017. James took a sabbatical from July 2016 to January 2017. In the past, they held various roles at Lloyds Banking Group, including Investment & Finance Senior Manager, Senior Programme Manager, Finance Manager for Project Verde, and Finance Business Partner. James also worked as an International Finance Manager at Lloyds Bank from October 2006 to March 2008.

James Baker completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Geography from the University of Southampton in 2002. James then pursued further education and obtained the ACMA, CGMA designation from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants between 2003 and 2007. In 2013, James Baker also acquired the APM Project Management Qualification.
