Elsa Heald

Elsa Heald is a Research Analyst at the UK Covid-19 Inquiry since March 2023, with prior experience as a Programme and Project Support Officer at NHS England, where support was provided for Bowel and Cervical Cancer Screening Programmes. Elsa led the C-Card Project at The Brandon Centre, developing a condom distribution scheme and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. As a Sexual Health Support Worker, engagement with young people regarding public health initiatives was emphasized, enhancing interpersonal skills. Co-founding the SEEDS advocacy group focused on harm reduction reflected commitment to community health education. Previous roles included Programme Support Officer Assistant at Royal Berkshire Fire & Rescue Service and healthcare positions at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust and The London Independent Hospital. Elsa holds a BSc (Hons) in Global Health from Queen Mary University of London.
