Matthew Young is a seasoned professional in strategic policy and planning, currently serving as Principal at UK Finance since May 2023. Prior to this role, Matthew held the position of Senior Policy Advisor for Green Finance at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs from January 2020 to May 2023. Matthew has extensive experience in communications, having worked as Account Director at both Hanover Communications from March 2018 to January 2020 and Lansons from April 2013 to March 2018. Matthew began their career as an Account Executive at Greentarget Global Group from October 2012 to March 2013. Matthew obtained a BA in History and Politics from the University of Leicester, where studies were undertaken from 2008 to 2011, following education at Edgbarrow Secondary School from 2001 to 2008.
