Lynda Bennett

Lynda Bennett has extensive experience in the healthcare and informatics field. Lynda began their career as a Respiratory Therapist at Central Baptist Hospital in 1996 and later worked as a Respiratory Therapist Contractor at Cross Country TravCorps. In 1997, they became a College Instructor at Bluegrass Community and Technical College.

Lynda joined Catholic Health Initiatives in 2014 as a National Clinical Informaticist, where they were responsible for establishing and maintaining clinical standards in the electronic health environment related to oncology clinical practice. Lynda then worked at the University of Kentucky as a Clinical Systems Coordinator, Clinical Informaticist, and Adjunct Faculty member.

In 2017, Lynda joined UK HealthCare as an Informaticist/ Epic Project Clinical Acute Provider Workflow Lead. Lynda'srole focuses on healthcare technology workflow analysis, usability analysis, and system design. Lynda is accountable for identifying and measuring key metrics for projects and collaborating with various departments for process improvement.

Throughout their career, Lynda has exhibited advanced skills in clinical documentation configuration, clinical workflow analysis, and technical design.

Lynda Bennett has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Health Informatics from Northern Kentucky University, which they obtained from 2010 to 2013. Lynda also has a Master's Certificate in Health Informatics from the same university, acquired from 2010 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Health Science (BHS) degree in Clinical Leadership and Management from the University of Kentucky, graduating in 2007. Additionally, they hold the certification of CPHIMS (Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems) from HIMSS, although the month and year of obtaining this certification are not specified.
