Michael Helphinstine

Michael Helphinstine has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry, specifically in radiology and diagnostic imaging. Michael most recently worked at UK HealthCare as the Community Radiology Operations Director, starting in March 2023. Prior to that, they were a Senior CT Technologist at UK HealthCare from July 2022 to March 2023. Michael also served as the Director of Radiology at Meadowview Regional Medical Center from March 2022 to July 2022.

Before their time at UK HealthCare, Michael held various positions at St. Claire HealthCare. Michael started as the Director of Radiology in January 2019 and continued in that role until March 2022. During their tenure, they focused on improving the quality and accessibility of imaging services in Eastern Kentucky. Before that, they were a Senior CT Technologist at UK HealthCare from February 2015 to January 2019.

Michael's earlier experience includes being the Manager of Diagnostic Procedures/CT/MRI at St. Claire Regional Medical Center from September 2013 to July 2015. Michael also served as an X-RAY/CT/MRI Technologist at the same center from October 2012 to September 2013. Michael started their career in healthcare at Fleming County Hospital, where they worked as an XRAY/CT Technologist from May 2009 to January 2014. Prior to that, they were a Transporter/Technologist Assistant at the hospital from June 2005 to May 2009.

In addition to their healthcare experience, Michael worked as a CT Technologist at Baptist Health (KY) from May 2010 to October 2012. Michael gained expertise in neurology imaging and provided education to other staff technologists in CT perfusion.

Before entering the healthcare field, Michael worked as a Veterinary Assistant at Fleming County Animal Hospital in 2007, where they gained hands-on experience in large animal medicine and small animal surgery. Michael ultimately chose to pursue a career in radiological studies.

Michael Helphinstine received their Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Radiological Sciences from Morehead State University in 2009. Michael then pursued further education at Morehead State University Advanced Imaging, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Radiologic Technology/Science - Radiographer in 2010. In 2017, Michael completed their education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Campbellsville University.
