Sophia Turner is an experienced EMT emergency nurse with a background in IPC and emergency humanitarian nursing. Sophia currently holds the title of UKEMT Deputy Medical Coordinator/Deputy Medical Team Lead at UK-Med. Sophia has worked on various emergency response projects, including COVID-19 outbreak responses and health system strengthening in different countries. Sophia also serves as the Deputy Director of Community Engagement and Outreach at Manchester & Salford Samaritans.
