Kai Patel

Kai Patel has a strong background in health and safety, with extensive work experience in various roles. Kai began their career as an HM Inspector of Health and Safety at the Health and Safety Executive in 2002 and held this position until 2010. Following this, they joined SSE plc as a Business Safety Manager from 2010 to 2014. During this time, they transitioned to UK Power Networks in 2014, initially serving as the Lead HSS Advisor in the Asset Management Directorate until 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Health and Safety at UK Power Networks.

Kai Patel obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire between 1997 and 1999. Later, in 2003, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from Heriot-Watt University.
