Jagdish Desai

Jagdish Desai is an experienced professional in the field of environmental management, currently serving as Chief Environment Manager at Vedanta | Sesa Goa Iron Ore since February 2003, with responsibilities that include heading the environment function of the Iron Ore business and participation in the Business Executive Committee, alongside additional duties as Head of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE). Prior to this role, Jagdish was the Head of Environment, Health, and Safety at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research in Goa from 2002 to February 2003 and also worked as a Senior Research Fellow. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Agriculture (Soil Science) from Dr. Balasaheb Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, an Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety from Deccan Education Society, an Executive MBA from the Goa Institute of Management, and an M.Sc. in Ecology and Environment from Sikkim Manipal University - Distance Education.
