Rob Tyler

Rob Tyler has a diverse work experience in the IT field. Rob is currently the Head of IT Operations at UK Power Networks since October 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Executive Technology Director at Avanti West Coast from January 2021 to October 2023. Rob also served as the Head of IT at South Western Railway from December 2017 to January 2021. Rob has held various positions at Stagecoach Group plc, including IT Service Delivery Manager from June 2015 to December 2017, and Senior Operations Systems Manager from February 2013 to June 2015. Rob started their career as a Service Delivery Analyst at South West Trains from November 2009 to February 2012. Lastly, they worked as an Engineering Team Leader at Fujitsu from July 2005 to November 2009.

Rob Tyler began their education journey in 1996 at King Richard School Portsmouth, where they completed their GCSEs. From 2001 to 2003, they attended City of Portsmouth College and obtained an NVQ3 in Business Administration, specializing in Business Administration and Management. In 2005, Rob pursued an IT Professional program at QA, earning an NVQ4 in Information Technology.

Rob's academic pursuits continued at The Open University from 2009 to 2014, during which they obtained a Degree in Information Technology.

In terms of additional certifications, Rob Tyler obtained CompTIA A+ from QA Ltd in 2006. In 2015, they gained Prince2 Foundation and Prince2 Practitioner certifications from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. Most recently, in July 2019, they acquired MSP® Certifications from AXELOS Global Best Practice.
