Ian Pyper has a diverse work experience in the field of performance science and strength and conditioning. Ian has held various roles in different organizations, including the UK Sports Institute, The Rugby Football League, EF Pro Cycling Team, Commonwealth Games England, UKSCA, and Scottish Institute of Sport. Some of their notable positions include Head of Performance Science Services - British Triathlon, Head of Performance Support - British Wheelchair Basketball, and Performance Science Lead for Birmingham 2022 at Commonwealth Games England. Ian has also served as a Strength and Conditioning Consultant for the EF Pro Cycling Team. Ian Pyper has a strong background in coaching and has contributed to the success of various sports teams and athletes.
Ian Pyper completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Applied Sports Science at The University of Edinburgh from 2000 to 2004. Ian then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Sports Studies at the University of Stirling from 2004 to 2006. In 2016 and 2017, they attended Hult Ashridge for a Leadership through Mentoring Programme. In 2022, they completed a Personal Impact course at RADA Business, focusing on fundamental tools for communication.
