Kristel Smith

Kristel Smith is a highly experienced professional in the biomedical field, currently serving as the Senior Assessment Manager at UKAS since November 2015, where Kristel previously held the role of Assessment Manager. Prior to UKAS, Kristel worked at South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust from September 2008 to November 2015 as a Senior Biomedical Scientist Quality Lead, and held positions as a Specialist Biomedical Scientist at both Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and North Cumbria University Hospitals NHS Trust between 2002 and 2008. Kristel possesses a strong educational background, including a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Northumbria University, an IBMS Certificate of Expert Practice in Quality Management from Ulster University, and a BSc (Hons) in Applied Microbiology from the University of Sunderland.
