Austin Eathorne has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Austin currently works as a Technical Artist at Uken Games since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Jam City as a UI Developer from 2019 to 2022. Before joining Jam City, they were self-employed as a Freelance Game Developer from October 2018 to April 2019, where they worked on various smaller projects for clients, prototyped a game for Android and iOS using Unity, and was responsible for programming, VFX, and UI animations. Additionally, Austin has experience as a Game Developer at Peekapak from June 2017 to December 2017, where they worked on myPeekaville for WebGL and took ownership over several game features. Austin also worked as a Game Developer at HandsomeDogTO from January 2017 to May 2017, where they developed Lamplight with students from the postgraduate Game Design program at George Brown College and shipped the game on iOS and Android platforms.
Austin Eathorne attended George Brown College from 2015 to 2018, where they obtained an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Game Programming. In addition to their formal education, Austin also obtained several certifications. In 2018, they obtained the "C# Advanced Topics: Prepare for Technical Interviews" certification from Udemy, as well as the "C# Developers: Double Your Coding Speed with Visual Studio," "C# Developers: Learn the Art of Writing Clean Code," "C# Intermediate: Classes, Interfaces and OOP," and "Learn JIRA in less than an hour with Agile Methodology" certifications, also from Udemy. Moreover, Austin received the "Excellence in Research & Innovation 2018" certification from GBC Research in September 2018. Prior to that, they completed the "Java Tutorial course" certification from SoloLearn in March 2017, and the "C++ Tutorial course" certification from SoloLearn in November 2016.
