Timo Mäkelä

Timo Mäkelä has a long and varied work experience. Timo began their career in 1996 as a Trainee at the Päijät-Häme Telephone Company. Timo held this role for a year before returning to the same company as a Trainee in 1997. In 1998, they worked as a Trainee at Radiolinja Ltd, and simultaneously held the role of System Manager/Senior System Specialist at TeliaSonera. In 2006, they moved to Omnitele, where they worked as a Radio Network Designer and Senior Consultant. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Radio Network Manager at Datame Ltd, and they currently hold the role of Senior Radio Engineer at Edzcom Oy since 2017.

Timo Mäkelä completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Information Technology and Computer Science / Telecommunications from Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK) between 1995 and 2001. Timo then obtained a Diploma in Technical Documentation from Päijät-Häme Vocational School between 1993 and 1995. In 2002 and 2003, they completed Open University Studies in Business Administration at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. Between 2015 and 2021, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Information and Communication Technology / Media Technology from LAB University of Applied Sciences. Timo is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Industrial Design Engineering at LUT University, which they expect to complete in 2026. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications from LinkedIn, including Building a Small Business Website with WordPress, Graphic Design Foundations: Ideas, Concepts, and Form, Typography: Choosing and Combining Typefaces, WordPress.com Essential Training, 5G Technology Strategy: Next-Generation Mobile Networking, Introduction to 5G, Learning Motion Graphics, Typography: Type in Motion, and Video Editing Fundamentals.
