Adam Barowy is a Lead Research Engineer at UL Research Institutes with extensive experience in fire protection engineering. Adam has a Master of Science in Fire Protection Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Adam has worked at UL Research Institutes, National Institute of Standards and Technology, University of Massachusetts Amherst, and Amherst Fire Department, where Adam conducted fire experiments, serviced fire protection equipment, and led volunteer firefighters during fireground operations. Adam specializes in the development and maintenance of UL Safety Standards and has been involved in the technical development of various test methods and fire protection systems.
