Dan Putz

Dan Putz serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for both UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement, where responsibilities include developing comprehensive cybersecurity programs aligned with the zero trust model using NIST CSF and implementing security measures for cloud platforms. Dan Putz has extensive experience as a keynote speaker and panelist at numerous cybersecurity conferences and has contributed to various publications, providing insights on data security and privacy. As a founder and fractional CISO for Cyber Consortium Consulting LLC, Dan Putz offers over 20 years of expertise in cybersecurity, governance, risk management, and consulting. Previous roles include CISO at ProcessMAP Corporation and Global Director of IT Security at Zywave. Dan Putz holds a Master of Science in Information Security and Information Assurance, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, and an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Network Systems. Additionally, Dan Putz is a member of several advisory boards, including CrowdStrike's Customer Security Advisory Board and EC-Council's Global Threat Intelligence Advisory Board.
