David McLeod

David McLeod has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. David started their career as a Graduate Trainee Engineer at SGN, where they received training and exposure to different aspects of the gas industry. David then worked as a Project Officer and later as an Innovation Delivery Manager, responsible for managing and developing solutions to engineering problems using innovative technologies. David also served as an Engineering Operations Manager at SGN, overseeing the operational performance and growth of the gas distribution network in Edinburgh.

David also worked as an Assistant Project Manager at WSP in the Middle East, where they managed mechanical and electrical engineering aspects of a large-scale construction project in Dubai. Additionally, they worked part-time as an Assistant Project Manager at Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick while studying at university, where they gained experience in project planning, contract management, and onsite coordination.

At ULC Technologies, David held the role of Head of Business Development, focusing on driving business growth and development. David also served as an Executive Board Member and Chair of the Scottish Section at IGEM, representing the Young Persons Network and ensuring value for the institution's members.

David McLeod completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Construction (Project) Management from Heriot-Watt University. David attended the university from 2004 to 2008 and graduated with first-class honours. Later, they pursued a Masters of Science (MSc) degree in Gas Engineering and Management from The University of Salford, which they completed with distinction from 2010 to 2011.
