Eric L. has a diverse work experience in the field of medical device development. Eric started their career as a Design Engineer at Micropulse in 2007. Eric then joined VOT Solutions in 2008, where they worked as an Engineering Manager and Product Development Engineer. At VOT Solutions, they participated in the development and FDA clearance of a Class II uncondylar knee system, contributed to the creation of technical design documents, and managed relationships with manufacturing partners and clinicians.

In 2010, Eric joined Clemson University as a Ph.D. Candidate, Research Assistant, and Teaching Assistant. After completing their Ph.D., they moved on to work at NextStep Arthropedix in 2014. At NextStep Arthropedix, they served as a Senior Product Development Engineer and later as a Project Engineer (Team Lead). Eric played a crucial role in the development of the iNSitu Total Hip Replacement project, leading various aspects such as product and process development, authoring the 510(k) submission, and coordinating product testing.

In 2018, Eric joined ulrich medical USA as a Senior Manager of Engineering. Eric led the U.S.-based engineering team in growing the product portfolio, including the launch of a new corpectomy cage and a new pedicle screw system. In 2021, they were promoted to the position of Director of Technology, where they provided leadership for U.S.-based efforts to support and expand the product portfolio. Currently, Eric holds the position of Vice President of Technology at ulrich medical USA, starting in 2023.

Eric L. has a strong educational background, having pursued various degrees across different fields. From 2003 to 2007, they attended Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Biomechanics. Following that, from 2010 to 2014, Eric earned both a Master of Science (M.S.) and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Clemson University. Currently, Eric is enrolled in the Executive MBA program at Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School, which they are expected to complete between 2021 and 2023.
