Walter Emery

Walter Emery has had a diverse range of work experiences. Walter started their career as a Physics Tutor at the Community College of Denver in 2016, where they helped students with their physics studies until 2017. In 2017, Walter worked as an Electrical Engineer Intern at Xcel Energy for a year, gaining practical experience in the field. Following that, from 2018 to 2020, they worked as an Engineer I at Salient Power Engineering LLC. In this role, Walter contributed to engineering projects within the company.

In 2021, Walter started their journey at Ulteig as a Solar Engineer Intern, where they honed their skills in solar design and engineering until the end of the year. In the same year, they were promoted to the role of Graduate Solar Engineer at Ulteig. As a Graduate Solar Engineer, Walter was responsible for creating site layouts for utility scale solar PV sites, optimizing the placement of inverters and routing MV lines. Walter also developed bill of materials and provided detailed DC and AC output expectations.

More recently, in 2022, Walter assumed the position of Solar Design Engineer at Ulteig, where they continue to apply their expertise in solar design and engineering.

Walter Emery's education history includes a Master's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado Denver, obtained from 2020 to 2021. Walter also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the same university, obtained from 2013 to 2018. Additionally, Walter has obtained two additional certifications: PE Electrical and Computer: Power from NCEES in September 2022, and Leading with Intelligent Disobedience from LinkedIn in November 2021.
