Fernanda Chaves

Fernanda Chaves has worked in various roles in the insurance and academic sectors. Fernanda started their career in 1998 as an Intern and Consultant at Willis Towers Watson. In 2004, they became a Lecturer at PUC-Rio and in 2010 they were appointed as a Superintendent at CNseg - Confederação Nacional das Seguradoras. In 2012, they became a Senior Lecturer at Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro and in 2018 they were a Visiting Lecturer and Researcher at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Most recently, in 2022, they were appointed as a Consultant to the Brazilian Market at Ultimate Risk Solutions.

Fernanda Chaves obtained a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro in 1993. Fernanda then went on to receive a Master's degree in Statistics from the same university in 1996. Following this, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Actuarial Science from City, University of London in 2000.
