Mohamed Omar

Mohamed Omar's work experience begins in 1996 when they worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Sakhr Software, where they supported internal software systems and tested software before its release. Mohamed then became a Senior Technical and Pre-Sales Support Engineer, training customers and employees on software products.

In 1999, Omar became a Project Manager at Sakhr Software, overseeing multiple projects across the GCC and North Africa. Mohamed was recognized for completing projects within set time frames, scopes, and budgets. From 2002 to 2004, they served as a Presales Manager, representing the company at exhibitions and trade shows and handling pre-sales functions.

Omar then assumed the role of Operation Manager, managing company operations in the GCC region and opening the company's office in Abu Dhabi from 2004 to 2005. In 2006, they became the Country Manager at Sakhr Software, responsible for achieving business development and sales targets and leading the business development team.

From 2007 to 2008, Omar worked as a Regional Manager at Sakhr Software, contributing to sales target achievement for the MEA region and being involved in the company's executive management committee. Mohamed also established a new branch in Oman.

In 2008, Omar joined Ultimus as a Business Development Manager, responsible for sales and business development activities and achieving targets. In 2009, they became the Country Manager for Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait, managing sales, business development, and customer/partner demos. Mohamed later served as the Regional Manager from 2010 to 2014, focusing on revenue growth, target achievement, and developing new business channels. Finally, they assumed the role of President for Ultimus Middle East, Africa, and South East Asia from 2014 onwards.

Most recently, Omar has been the Director and GM of the Egypt Office at Rasan, a technology company offering insurance and banking solutions. Mohamed joined in 2019 and is responsible for various leading InsurTech platforms and enabling retail customers to compare insurance and select policies.

Mohamed Omar completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Physics from Alexandria University from 1992 to 1996.
