Pete Marcell

Pete Marcell has a diverse range of work experience spanning over three decades. Pete started their career in 1990 as a First Sergeant in the Army National Guard and served until 2010.

In 1995, they joined Applied Materials and worked as a Program Manager for Talent and Development until 2002. During this time, they oversaw the development of web-based training programs and provided support for learning and development operations in North America.

From 2011 to 2012, Pete worked at Emerson Process Management as a Manager of Training and Development. Pete was responsible for aligning HRD training needs globally and driving completion of compliance training.

Pete then joined Access Midstream in 2012 as a Talent Development Manager and later moved on to work at the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts as an Enterprise ERP Project Manager from 2014 to 2017.

From 2017 to 2020, Pete worked at Samsung Austin Semiconductor as a Talent Development Manager, where they led learning and development strategies and initiatives to improve employee engagement and performance.

In 2020, Pete joined USAA as a Director of Learning and Development - Workforce Technology. Pete established various learning initiatives, including a Business Unit Leadership Development program and a Technology Learning and Development Center of Excellence.

Currently, Pete is working at Ultra Clean Technology as a Senior Director of Global Learning and Organizational Development. In this role, they are responsible for designing and implementing a global talent development strategy and programs to foster a diverse, equitable, inclusive, effective, and engaged workforce. Pete has also played a key role in implementing a new global learning management system.

Pete Marcell earned a Master Professional Studies (MPS) degree in Organization Development and Change from Penn State University, completing their studies between 2018 and 2020.
