Robert Buchanan

Robert Buchanan has extensive work experience in various engineering and leadership roles. Robert started their career at Newport Wafer Fab as a Yield analysis/enhancement Process Engineer and later became a Manufacturing Team Leader. At iFire Technology, they worked as a Research and Development Engineer, focusing on patterning processes and developing standard operating procedures. Robert then joined Intel Corporation, where they held multiple positions including Senior Process Engineer, Staff Process Engineer, Operations Group Leader, and Engineering Manager. In these roles, they managed process transfers, led yield improvement projects, and implemented lean manufacturing techniques. Robert then moved on to Creganna Medical as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, responsible for technical support and validation activities. Most recently, Robert worked at Nordson MEDICAL as an Operations Engineering Manager, overseeing engineering, maintenance, and continuous improvement teams. Currently, they hold the position of Engineering Director at Ultra Clean Technology.

Robert Buchanan obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering from Waterford Institute of Technology, which they attended from 1991 to 1994. Robert later pursued a Master's Degree in Electronics Engineering from Queen's University Belfast, completing it in 1995. Additionally, Robert holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from CORDATUS CONSULTING LTD, although the specific date of obtaining this certification is unknown.
