Ian Hopps

Ian Hopps has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Ian started their career in the military, serving in HM Forces as a Junior Aircraft Technician and later as an Aircraft Engineering Supervisor. During their time in the military, they gained practical experience in aircraft maintenance and repair, as well as leadership skills in supervising junior technicians. After leaving the military, they joined Electronic Technicians Limited as a Quality Assurance Manager, where they were responsible for ensuring quality standards. Ian then transitioned to Ultra Electronics, where they held various roles, including Quality Engineer, Head of Quality, and Supplier Quality Manager. In these positions, they focused on maintaining quality management systems, driving continuous improvement, and managing teams. Overall, Ian Hopps has extensive experience in quality assurance, particularly in the aerospace industry.

Ian Hopps attended Kings Heath Technical School from 1979 to 1984, where they completed O Levels in various subjects. Ian then pursued a vocational education, earning A levels in Biology and Geography. From 1987 to 2009, Ian attended the REME Arms School, specializing in Engineering. Additionally, they attended the School of Aeronautical Engineering in 1988-1989 and 1991-1992, focusing on Aeronautical Engineering.
