Amanda Thompson

Amanda Thompson, MLIS, currently serves as the Associate Director of the Health Sciences Library at Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc., where responsibilities include managing the digital library, overseeing contracts and budgets, and providing information retrieval services. Previously, Amanda held the position of Technical Librarian at Sandia National Laboratories, focusing on library budget management and the development of best practices for research teams. Additional experience includes serving as a Librarian at San Anselmo Public Library, an Academic Librarian Intern at the College of Environmental Design at UC Berkeley, and a Research Librarian Intern at the ARL Technical Library. Amanda earned a Master of Library & Information Science from San José State University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from Northland College.
