Nazmul Haque

Nazmul Haque currently serves as Associate Director Senior Scientist and Research Lead at Ultragenyx, focusing on RNA-based drug development for rare genetic diseases. With over a decade of experience at the National Institutes of Health as a Staff Scientist and Postdoc Fellow, Nazmul led research on RNA splicing, immunology, and RNA-protein interactions, while developing advanced methodologies for techniques like CLIPseq and CRISPR/Cas genome editing. Earlier work at the Stowers Institute involved significant discoveries related to pre-mRNA splicing and Nonsense-Mediated mRNA Decay. Nazmul's academic background includes a PhD in Molecular Biology and Virology from Ehime University, alongside extensive training in bioinformatics, biochemistry, and molecular biology.
