Sam Wadsworth

Sam Wadsworth is a seasoned biopharmaceutical executive with extensive experience in the field of gene therapy and drug development. Currently serving as Chief Scientific Officer at Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc. since November 2017, Sam previously held the same title at Dimension Therapeutics from August 2013 to November 2017. Prior to that, Sam was Head of Gene Therapy R&D at Sanofi Genzyme for two decades, from August 1993 to August 2013. Sam's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Virology from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Microbiology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
