Vivian Chang

Vivian Chang is an accomplished professional in the field of biologics and process development, currently serving as Associate Director of Upstream Process Development at Ultragenyx since July 2019. With extensive experience in leading the upstream development for biologics, including mRNA and recombinant proteins, Vivian has played a critical role in designing and implementing process workflows to enhance productivity and quality. Prior to this role, Vivian held positions at Codexis, Inc., Cobalt Technologies, and The Ohio State University, where significant contributions to fermentation processes, tech transfers, and team mentorship were made. Vivian holds a Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology from The Ohio State University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan University.
