Marcos Lutz

Marcos Lutz is the CEO of Ultrapar Participacoes SA, a position they have held since April 2021.

Lutz has over 25 years of experience in the Brazilian energy sector. Marcos began their career in 1994 as the Chief Operating Officer of Ultracargo, a subsidiary of Ultrapar. Marcos held this position until 2003, when they left to join Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional as their Executive Officer for Infraestrutura.

In 2007, Lutz joined Cosan as their Chief Commercial Officer. Marcos was promoted to Chief Executive Officer in 2009 and held this position until 2020. Marcos also served on the board of directors for Cosan from 2008 to 2020.

Lutz left Cosan in 2020 to become the Chairman of the Board for Rumo. Marcos held this position until December 2020, when they joined the board of directors for Ultrapar.

Marcos Lutz has an MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and a BS from Universidade de São Paulo.
