Marcin Wójcik has held a variety of roles in their professional career. Marcin began as a Service Engineer at Raab-Karcher in 2004, followed by a Cryptography Specialist in the Security Advanced Systems at Siltec in 2006. In 2011, they were a Research Intern at Intel Corporation, and then a Business Development Manager at Phoenix Systems in 2012. In 2010, they began a role as a Research Assistant at University of Bristol, followed by a PhD Student in the Cryptography and Information Security Group. Most recently, they were President/VP at Cambridge University Algorithmic Trading Society from 2015 to 2022, where they had hands-on experience designing, building and running algorithmic trading systems using Python, R, Statistical modeling, Trading, Zipline, and Quantopian. Marcin is currently VP of Engineering at Ulvetanna Inc.
Marcin Wójcik obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from the University of Bristol between 2010 and 2014. Prior to this, they obtained a MSc in Telecommunications and Information Technology from Warsaw University of Technology between 2005 and 2007, and a MSc in Mathematics from the same university between 2001 and 2006. Marcin also obtained a BSc in Telecommunications and Information Technology from Warsaw University of Technology between 1999 and 2004. Additionally, they have obtained four certifications from Coursera: Economics of Money and Banking, Part Two (2014), Economics of Money and Banking, Part One (2014), Financial Engineering and Risk Management Part I (2013), and Markets with Frictions (2013).
