Matthew McCreesh (PhD, Pr. Sci. Nat)

Matthew McCreesh is an accomplished geologist with extensive experience in mineral project management and exploration, currently serving as a Senior Project Geologist and Project Manager at Umbono Capital since August 2018. McCreesh has expertise in managing various mineral projects, including nickel-copper-platinum group metals, gold, zinc-lead, coal, coalbed methane, and oil and gas, guiding them from preliminary assessments to feasibility studies. Prior experience includes roles at Zeb Nickel Corp. and Platinum Group Metals (RSA) (Pty) Ltd, where responsibilities encompassed geological and geotechnical logging and sample preparation. Matthew holds a PhD in Economic Geology and a Master's degree in the same field from the University of the Witwatersrand, complemented by a solid educational background in geology and geography from the same institution.
