Joseph Gruber

Joseph Gruber began their work experience in 2010 as a System Engineer while self-employed. Joseph then worked as a Technical Project Manager at CSC from February 2011 to February 2012. From February 2012 to March 2014, they served as a Lead Planner at KBRwyle. Joseph then joined ECG, Inc. as a Lead Planner from March 2014 to December 2015. Joseph Gruber worked as a Mission Support Lead at HI-SEAS from June 2013 to June 2018. From July 2016 to September 2018, they held the role of Mission Software Engineer (Team Lead) at a.i. solutions. Additionally, from May 2018 to February 2019, they worked as a Consulting Software Engineer (Software Engineering Manager) at a.i. solutions. Joseph Gruber worked as a Technical Project Manager at BLUE ORIGIN from February 2019 to June 2020. Joseph then joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Sr Space and Satellite Systems Technical Program Manager from June 2020 to August 2021. Most recently, they held the position of Senior Software Engineering Manager at Maxar Technologies from August 2021 to April 2023. In 2023, Joseph Gruber started working as a Senior Software Engineer at Umbra.

Joseph Gruber holds a Master's degree in Aeronautical Science and Space Studies from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Joseph also has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems from Florida Institute of Technology and an Associate's degree in Computer Information Systems from Hillsborough Community College.

In addition to their formal education, Joseph has obtained several certifications. Joseph is an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Joseph also holds certifications in Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute and FreeFlyer Level 1 Certification from a.i. solutions. Furthermore, they have completed the Python Developer course from Lynda.com and is a Satellite Tool Kit (STK) Master Certified by AGI (Analytical Graphics, Inc.).

Joseph has yet to provide the specific details regarding the months and years they obtained their MCSE: Messaging certification from Microsoft and their Professional Scrum Master I (PSM-I) certification from Scrum.org.
