Gizem Taş is an experienced bioinformatician currently working at UMC Utrecht Brain Center in the Department of Neurogenetics since October 2020. Additionally, Gizem serves as a Ph.D. candidate at Tilburg University in the Department of Econometrics & Operations Research. Previous positions include teaching assistant at Boğaziçi Üniversitesi within the Department of Industrial Engineering and the Socio-Economic System Dynamics Research Lab, and research assistant at the Istanbul Policy Center. Additional experience includes roles at Ericsson in sustainability and corporate responsibility, GSK as a demand forecasting intern, a software internship at the Ministry of Justice in Turkey, and a production planning internship at Nurol Teknoloji. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Boğaziçi University, a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Boğaziçi University. Early education was completed at Galatasaray Lisesi.
