Jing Zhao

Jing Zhao is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, focusing on spatial analysis of land use transition in Indonesia and the prediction of smallholder oil palm expansion using machine learning methods. Previous experience includes serving as an Instructor at CUNY Queens College and USST, teaching Economics and Business Statistics, and working as a Research Assistant at the University of Missouri, where significant data analysis was conducted on agricultural policies. Additional roles include an internship at Global Insight, where Jing Zhao engaged in agricultural market data analysis and model development, and a Research Assistant position at China Agricultural University, focusing on import demand elasticity and agricultural forecasting models. Jing Zhao holds a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a Master's degree in International Trade from China Agricultural University, and a Bachelor's degree in International Economics and Trade from the same institution.
