Betty Overton

Betty Overton is a seasoned academic with extensive experience in higher education. Currently serving as a Professor in the Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education at the University of Michigan since September 2012, Betty also holds the position of Associate Director of the National Forum on Higher Education for the Public Good. Prior positions include Provost and Chief Academic Officer at Spring Arbor University, Director of Higher Education and Program Director at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and Assistant Dean and Associate Professor at Fisk University. Betty Overton earned a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Vanderbilt University, contributing to a rich career focused on academic leadership, program development, and community engagement.
