Brittany Dernberger

Brittany Dernberger, PhD, serves as the Director of Research and Evaluation at the University of Michigan, leading a team within the ADVANCE Program focused on faculty recruitment, workplace climate, retention, and leadership development. Brittany also founded bnd Ventures, LLC, a consultancy addressing gender and social inequality through research and training. Previous roles include Senior Manager at CARE, overseeing a $150K initiative on inequality solutions, and Professional Lecturer at The George Washington University, teaching courses on sociology. Other experience includes conducting impactful research at Insight Policy Research and contributing to various educational and academic projects. Brittany holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Maryland, as well as an MPA and a BA from Grand Valley State University.
