Diane Hardy Saran

Diane Hardy Saran, Ph.D., serves as the Assistant Director of International Programs in Engineering at the University of Michigan since September 2021. Prior to this role, Diane held several positions at the University of Pittsburgh from 2010 to 2021, including Associate Director of International Engineering Initiatives, where Diane expanded education-abroad programs significantly and managed faculty-led programs with substantial budgets. Additionally, Diane worked as a Senior Immigration Specialist, overseeing immigration processes for international students and leading various initiatives and programming to support this population. Diane's expertise in international student services was further developed at the University at Buffalo from 2002 to 2010 as a SEVIS Coordinator/International Student Advisor. Diane holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration and possesses a Master's of Education and a Bachelor's in Mass Communication/Media Studies.
