Frank Marsik

Faculty Director Of First Year Student Engagement In Undergraduate Education, College Of Engineerign at The University of Michigan

Frank Marsik serves as the Faculty Director of First Year Student Engagement in Undergraduate Education in the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan while also holding the position of Associate Research Scientist and Lecturer IV in the Department of Climate and Space Science and Engineering. In addition, Frank Marsik is the Site Director for the NSF REU Program in Climate and Space Science Observation (PICASSO), which aims to engage diverse undergraduate students in research, enhance their self-efficacy in STEM careers, and develop their scientific communication skills. Frank Marsik's previous roles include various positions within the same department, culminating in extensive experience in atmospheric sciences. As Owner and President of Great Lakes Atmospheric Research, LLC, since May 2014, Frank Marsik continues to contribute to the field. Frank Marsik obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from the University of Michigan between 1989 and 1995.
