Rafael Castilla

Rafael Castilla serves as the Director of Investments and Structuring and is also an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Michigan, where Rafael has managed the MINTS program since 2011, overseeing over $32 million in investments across 27 startups. Previous experience includes roles as Assistant General Counsel at JPMorgan Chase, providing legal advice in various equity sectors, Senior Associate at Baker & McKenzie, offering corporate and regulatory advice, Principal at SUN Capital Partners, and Director at Merrill Lynch, where Rafael led marketing for emerging markets derivatives. Rafael holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and an A.B. in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Harvard University.
