Jessica Freeman

Jessica Freeman is a Process Engineer III at Umoja Biopharma, with experience in advancing to Process Engineer II since October 2020. Prior to this, Jessica served as the Operations Lead for Protein Therapeutics at Gates Biomanufacturing Facility from October 2015 to October 2020, leading the technical transfer of protein biologics processes and managing manufacturing operations. Jessica began professional experience in the biotech field as a Process Development/Manufacturing Associate, supporting the startup of a facility dedicated to protein and cellular therapeutics. Other roles included a Community HealthCorps AmeriCorps Member at MCPN, a tutoring position at eXL Learning, and undergraduate research assistantships at the University of Notre Dame and the University of Western Australia. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a concentration in Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and spent a year studying at the University of Western Australia.
