Mila Valle has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Mila began their career at the Salvation Army in 1998, where they served as a Program Director until 2005. Mila then joined St. Vincent de Paul CARES as a Case Manager from 2006 to 2008. In 2009, they became a Program Director at Child & Family Resources, Inc. and stayed until 2012. From 2012 to 2020, Mila worked as a Coordinator/Manager at UMOM New Day Centers. In 2020, they transitioned to the role of Director of Emergency Shelters at the same organization, eventually becoming the Chief Program Officer in 2023.
Mila Valle holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. Mila also studied Liberal Arts and Sciences at the Universidad Nacional de Tumbes. In 2022, they obtained a certification from the American Express Leadership Academy through the ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation.
