Kumi Baruffi

Kumi Yamamoto Baruffi currently serves as EVP, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Umpqua Bank since March 2023. Previously, Kumi held the same title at Columbia Banking System, Inc. since September 2014. Prior to that, Kumi was a shareholder at Graham & Dunn, PC for nearly two decades, where involvement included serving on the firm's board of directors and working as an associate in the Corporate Group with a focus on financial services. Kumi earned a JD from Boston University School of Law and a BA from Wellesley College. Educational background also includes attendance at the International School of the Sacred Heart.
