Ina Parvanova

Director, Communications and Engagement at UN Climate Change

Ina Parvanova is the Director of Communications and Engagement at UN Climate Change. Ina has over 20 years of experience in communications, media relations, and engagement.

In their previous role as Head of Communications and Media Relations at the OSCE, Ina was responsible for shaping the profile and strategic communications direction of the world’s largest regional security organization. Ina led and coordinated the work of 80 communications professionals in the OSCE Secretariat, Institutions, and Field Operations.

Ina has also served as the Regional Adviser for Communications at the World Health Organization and as the Director of Communications at Mayo Clinic. In 2007, they were appointed as the Director of Communication Services (a.i.) at Fisheries and Oceans Canada.

Throughout their career, Ina has been a driving force in strategic communications planning, media relations, digital communications, and engagement. Ina is a skilled communicator with a proven track record in developing and implementing successful communications strategies at the international, national, and local levels.

Ina Parvanova has a Masters in Journalism from Carleton University, a Certificate in Comparative Political and Economic Studies from Charles University, a Master of Arts - MA in English Literature and Linguistics from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, and a Certificate in Political Journalism from Georgetown University. Ina also has a Bachelor of Arts - BA in English Literature and Linguistics from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski.
