Ioannis Sempos (Sebos) serves as a Teaching and Research Associate at the National Technical University of Athens since January 2005 and is the Coordinator and scientific responsible for the Greenhouse Gas Inventory System of Greece. As a Climate Change Adaptation Expert for the LIFE-IP AdaptInGr project, Sempos contributes to implementing adaptation policies in Greece. Additionally, Sempos is a member of the Editorial Board at the IPCC Emission Factor Database and lectures on Climate Change at the University of West Attica. Other roles include Adjunct Professor at the Hellenic Open University and Lead Reviewer for Greenhouse Gases Inventories under the UNFCCC. Sempos also reviews CLRTAP inventories for the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and provides technical reviews for GHG inventories at Umweltbundesamt. An Assessor for the Hellenic Accreditation System, Sempos has consulted for the Natural Environment and Climate Change Agency of Greece and Gauss International Consulting. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and an international MBA from the Athens University of Economics and Business.
