UN Climate Change
Marlan Pillay is an experienced Program Officer at UNFCCC, providing technical advice and support for climate change mitigation and MRV/Transparency since April 2016, having previously held a similar role from April 2010 to January 2016. Prior to UNFCCC, Marlan served as Programme Manager at the South African National Accreditation System and worked as a Development Technologist at Tongaat Hulett. Academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management and Assessment from the University of Sunderland, various certificates in negotiation skills and UN management, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from the University of South Africa. Marlan is also certified in GHG management and has expertise in quality management systems and project management.
