Ava Bahrami

Ava Bahrami currently serves as a Communications Officer for the Climate and Clean Air Coalition at the UN Environment Programme since August 2023. Previously, Ava held communications roles at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) from October 2019 to August 2023, focusing on disaster information management in Asia and the Pacific. Other positions include Advocacy and Communication Consultant at UNDP, various communications roles at UN-Habitat, and a researcher for the Atlas of Languages of Iran project at Carleton University. Ava's educational background includes a Master of Science in Sustainable Development from the University of Sussex and a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics from Sharif University of Technology.
