Thomas W. Crowther is an Assistant Professor at ETH Zürich, involved in global ecosystem ecology since October 2017. In addition to academic responsibilities, Crowther holds leadership positions as Co-Chair of the Advisory Board for the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration and Founding Chair of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration since 2021. Crowther is also the Founder and Chair of Restor, established in October 2019. Prior academic experience includes a postdoctoral position at Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies from 2012 to 2017, along with a PhD from Cardiff University earned between 2008 and 2012, following an undergraduate degree at the same institution.
