Akaki Kukhaleishvili serves as the Business and Human Rights Manager at the UN Global Compact Network Georgia since September 2023. Previously, Akaki held various roles at the Office of Public Defender of Georgia, including Deputy Head of the National Preventive Mechanism and Researcher Analyst. Akaki also served as a Legal Researcher during an internship at the European Human Rights Advocacy Centre and was a Founding Partner at LSG Legal Solutions Group, specializing in corporate governance and social responsibility. Additionally, Akaki held the position of Vice President for Regional Development at the European Youth Parliament in Georgia and worked as a Specialist in Research and International Relations. Akaki's academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in the Theory and Practice of Human Rights from the University of Essex, a Master of Laws in International Law and Human Rights from the Riga Graduate School of Law, and a Bachelor of Laws from Shota Rustaveli State University.
