Abdihakim Osman

Abdihakim Osman, PhD, currently serves as a National Programme Officer at UN-Habitat, focusing on the Joint Programme on Local Governance and Decentralized Service Delivery since April 2019. Prior to this role, Abdihakim held the position of Director at the Local Government Institute for a brief period in late 2018 and was Dean of the Center for Local Governance and Research Coordinator at the Civil Service Institute from July 2013 to December 2018. Abdihakim's early career includes a role as Secretary at the Ministry of Education Somaliland from April 2007 to August 2013. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Peace, Governance, and Development, along with multiple Master's degrees in related fields, and a Bachelor's degree in Management. Abdihakim also holds a Certificate of Competence in Political Economy of Land Governance in Africa and a Diploma in Accounting.
