Esma Türkmani currently serves as the Gender Justice Officer and South West Representative for Amnesty International UK, where responsibilities include advocating for gender justice and supporting student groups. Additionally, Esma established an Amnesty International student society at Bournemouth University and holds multiple roles within the university, including serving on the BU Student Sustainability Council and as a Law Department Student Representative. Esma is also engaged in a significant interdisciplinary research project on mass graves as a Student Research Assistant at MaGPIE and is participating in the AS Aspire and AS ACCESS programs, both designed to prepare aspiring solicitors. Volunteering as a delegate for UN Women UK at the UN CSW events and involvement in various community-focused initiatives further highlight Esma's commitment to human rights and social justice. Esma is pursuing a Bachelor of Laws at Bournemouth University, having previously earned a Bachelor's degree in American Culture and Literature from Bilkent University.
