Nyambura Ngugi is a seasoned professional in gender equality and women's empowerment with extensive experience across various organizations, including the United Nations and non-governmental entities. Currently serving as the Senior Advisor on Gender Equality at the Office of the President of the General Assembly, Nyambura also works as a Programme Specialist for UN Women, focusing on Africa. Previous roles include Strategic Planning Specialist for UN Women ESARO and Programme Specialist in Strategic Planning & UN Coordination, where Nyambura led initiatives to integrate gender equality within the UN's programming. Additional experience includes consulting on gender policies for the Liberian National Election Commission and providing technical support in gender mainstreaming for the Democratic Governance for Development Program in Nigeria.
